I joined the Faculty of Science at the University of Savoy (Le Bourget du Lac, Savoy), where I obtained my first and second years of Bachelor in Earth Sciences and Biology. In 1997, I entered the University of Burgundy in Dijon (Côte d’Or), where I received my Bachelor's Degree and my first year of Master in Earth Sciences, working on fossil and Recent brachiopods under the direction of Prof. Dr. Bernard Laurin in 1999. Then, I prepared my Master’s Degree, working on a Jurassic sea urchin species under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jacques Thierry and Research Director of the CNRS (Conseil national de la recherche scientifique) Dr. Bruno David.

In 2000, I was registered for the Bachelor 3 and Master 1 in Biology at the University of Burgundy (Dijon) in order to pass the examination for the teaching diplomas at the high school and university levels of the Éducation nationale française.

 

My PhD was carried out from 2001 to 2005 at the University of Berne in Switzerland under the co-direction of PD Dr. Jörn Geister (Berne) and Prof. Dr. Bernard Lathuilière (Nancy).

 

Finally, from 2005 to 2012, I was the entrepreneur and manager of the Tethys Ocean Company  – Dive Center – devoted to the training of recreational scuba divers.

 

I currently occupy a tenure position of associate Professor in paleontology at Aix–Marseille université.

 

 

PhD THESIS

Dissertation awarded as best PhD thesis 2005 of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Berne and entitled:

Climatic control of Oxfordian coral reef distribution in the Tethys Ocean. Including a comparative survey of Recent coral communities (Indian Ocean) and a new method of coral morphometrics based on fractal dimensions.
